Movie: Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

Peyton, B. (Director), Friedman, R. (Writer) & Bencich, S. (Writer). (2010). Cats & dogs: The revenge of kitty galore [DVD]. United States: Warner Bros.

Plot: Police dog failure, Diggs, a German Shepherd, is recruited to join an organization of dogs protecting the world from danger. In this sequel, a former operative for M.E.O.W.S, Kitty Galore, is bent on revenge after falling into a vat of hair removal cream at a cosmetics factory. She plans to release a signal via satellite that would drive dogs crazy and force owners to get rid of them forever. Diggs is joined with a M.E.O.W.S. operative named Catherine, a dog spy named Butch and a pigeon who is a complete feather-brain. Diggs never came up to snuff as a police dog - will this second chance allow him to show his crime-fighting skills?

Genre: Comedy, Family Movie

Interest Level: Tween (PG Rating)

Similar Titles: Cats & Dogs

Personal Thoughts: I remember watching the first movie in high school. This one was cute, but I thought it was a little too over the top. I liked the subtle James bond spoof aspect, but I thought some situations were a little much. I think my favorite part was when Kitty Galore was dressed as a little Cocker Spaniel and then unzips the costume to reveal her true self – I've had Cockers and the idea of a cat being that devious as to hide in such an outfit was hilarious.
