Plot: Editor Matt Dembicki gathered a variety of artists to collaborate with Native American storytellers to create a graphic novel representation of stories passed down through the various tribes. Trickster includes 21 authentic Native American stories that are accompanied by beautiful and detailed illustrations. One story, told by John Active, about Raven the Trickster shows a raven's cunning through artwork by Jason Copland. 

Personal Thoughts: This book is filled with beautiful and humorous illustrations. The selection of stories comes from different tribes and each is presented in a different way. Reading these stories will give reluctant readers a better understanding and appreciation of Native American culture.
