Genre: Science Fiction

Plot: The annual Hunger Games have been won in an unconventional way by Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark and the win has brought them fame in the districts and in the Capital, but not everyone loves them. Their families and friends are safe but for how long? President Snow wants to squash their popularity, and thus remove the threats from the uprisings inspired by their defiance. There is only one thing that could be crueler than the menacing threats to their family and friends and that is a forced return to the Hunger Games arena.

Personal Thoughts: Narrator Carolyn McCormick reads the audiobook with just the right speed to keep listeners tuned in to the adventure. The action is quick and exciting and suspense builds until the cliff-hanger ending.
